01Why this document exists

Google is moving Local Services Ads into Google Ads as a Performance Max campaign, starting this month. Lead records move across. The performance reporting behind them does not. Once the account migrates, the history you are about to read stops being retrievable from Google's own dashboard.

So we pulled all of it and archived it on our side. Four years, every lead, every charge, every credit.

The headline is a good one. $32.91 per lead over four years is a strong number in this trade, and it is below the roughly $51 that HVAC contractors pay for Local Services leads nationally. This channel has been working for you for a long time.

The eight-month gap

Local Services ran continuously from August 2022 to May 2025, then stopped, and did not restart until February 2026. Nothing was spent and no leads arrived during those eight months.

That gap matters for one reason beyond the lost work: Google's ranking rewards consistency and responsiveness. An account that goes dark loses standing and has to earn it back, which is part of why the restart began slowly at three leads in February before climbing to thirty-three in July.

03What customers were asking for

Where Google recorded a service type, the pattern is consistent and it is worth noticing, because it does not match where most contractors expect their Local Services money to come from.

The most useful number in this document

Maintenance requests outnumber repair requests by more than two to one. Of the leads Google categorised, 302 were maintenance of some kind against 121 for repair. People come to Local Services looking for a tune-up.

That is exactly the customer the American Comfort Club is built for, and it is why the membership matters more here than the individual job does.

04What this means going into the migration

You are entering the Performance Max transition with a four-year record that most contractors will lose, because most will not know to export it before the switch.

Every figure in this document comes from your own Local Services account, pulled through Google's reporting interface on August 10, 2026, and archived on our side. If Google's dashboard changes what it shows after the migration, this record does not change with it.
